Any project report submitted to the institute for academic purpose as partial fulfillment of award of any degree must be formally presented. The report should be constitute and written as per the guidelines described below.

ARRANGEMENT OF CONTENTS FOR PROJECT REPORT:

The sequence in which the project report material should be arranged and bound should be as follows:

1. Cover Page & Title Page
2. Certificate
3. Declaration
4. Preface
5. Acknowledgement
6. Executive summary (minimum one page)
7. Table of Contents

NOW LET'S SEE IN DETAILS

1. Chapter 1: Introduction

Briefly introduce about the project work and the general environment.

2. Chapter 2: Industry Profile

Briefly describe the nature and size of the industry. Also, describe to the possible extent: Major players, competition, recent developments and future prospects.

3. Chapter 3: Company Profile

Briefly describe the company’s activities: Historical developments, products, markets, technology, financial performance (at least of the last financial year).

4. Chapter 4: Research Methodology

a. Study objectives or Learning Objectives
b. Scope of the study
c. Methods of Data collection
i. Sampling (sample design, sample size, sample unit, etc)
ii. Data collection sources (Primary, secondary)
d. Data analysis (tools viz.: statistical models, concepts, etc; SWOT, BCG Matrix, Porter Model, etc))
e. Limitations

5. Chapter 5: Theoretical Aspects of the study

Brief description of the concepts used/ studied in the projects (in reference to books, journals, etc)

6. Chapter 6: Research findings & Conclusions

With tables and graphical analysis. Interpretation of figures is to be given comprehensively.

7. Chapter 7: Hypothesis Testing (Preferable)

8. Suggestions & Recommendations

9. Annexure

Questionnaires
Reference notes/ tables or figures from published sources.

10. Reference

Books, Journals, Magazines, Newspapers, websites, etc.

11. Glossary

List of technical words used in the report and their explanation. In the number of such words is small, they can be explained in the footnotes.


PAGE DIMENSION AND BINDING SPECIFICATIONS:

1~ Main titles like General Information, Production Department, Personnel Department, Marketing Department, Finance Department, Learning value must be shown on separate pages.

2~ It is advisable to use font size of 12 for normal text, 16 (bold) for sub titles and 14 (bold) for minor titles. Ex: in above content History & Product detail is subtitle while product- A & product- B is minor title. Font type must be a Times New Roman in normal text. Text alignment must be justified. Line space must be in 1.5 spaces.

3~ You can also show institutes name as well as companies name in to header and footer. Your company name must be in header.

4~ It is compulsory to give page numbers. You can put the collected material of your company as annexure. You are required to show annexure in to your index at last. Put photocopy of material in A4 size.

5~ Hard copy of project must be on A4 Size paper.
